UPCOMING EVENTS
COMMUNITY SESSIONS, HEALING CIRCLES + MORE
All of our events are virtual and free to attend, we hope to see you there!
We always have closed captioning available for our Zoom sessions and as facilitators, we have different tactics for different access needs like reading out information presented on slides, using descriptions of visuals, etc. We've also previously had interpreters at sessions so if you would like to request one, please let us know in advance of the event you'd like to attend.
If nothing else, the disparate impact of COVID-19 and the continued violence against Black and Brown folx reinforces the need for us to listen and be in community with one another. With everything going on right now, it can be especially challenging to find moments for stillness, for reflection and restoration. IG is therefore convening Community Conversations as recurring discussion opportunities for anyone and everyone committed to exploring:
-
How to use IDEAS as a framework to anchor our responses to the challenges and opportunities ahead.
-
Ways to mobilize in solidarity with those disproportionately affected.
-
Self-care practices for ourselves and others to combat burn-out, fear, anxiety, and overwhelm.
-
How we can combat systems of oppression such as racism, xenophobia, transphobia, homophobia, and ableism, amongst other forms of intolerance and discrimination, in our workplaces - and beyond.
Our Healing Circles are specially curated spaces requested by many in the community, and led by our very own Desi Carson, we're extremely excited to bring you a much-anticipated space that is specifically designed for healing, community, grounding, creative expression, and self-care.
We also have various events available related to our Fellowship Program, Fireside Chats, Community Onboarding and more.
